THE EGYPTIAN EXHIBITION KILLINGS - Egypt fiction

A blockbuster new Egyptian exhibition comes to London from the tomb of the Crocodile Queen...

When a new blockbuster ancient Egyptian exhibition arrives, mysterious events and a string of killings soon follow.
The investigative team of Jennefer, a curator, and Jon a police antiquities detective, must track down the shocking truth in a hidden underworld beneath the city - and discover a shocking secret from ancient Egypt, linked to a modern day conspiracy that takes its impetus from the ancient past.
In the footsteps of THE EGYPTIAN MYTHOLOGY MURDERS and THE OBELISK PROPHECY.

A flashlight beam approached in the darkness of a storm drain, throwing halos around the circular tunnel.
Behind it came a maintenance worker in a luminous vest and wearing a safety helmet.

But helmets were no protection against jaws with the greatest biting force per square inch of any creature on earth.

A thing out of ancient Egypt’s mythology waited, standing perfectly camouflaged amid the waste and effluvium of modern urban life.

The Snatcher, the Tearer, the Rager from Dark Water.

The powerful body and jaws, wrapped in tattered cloth, merged with the shaggy detritus of rags, threads, paper and plastic strips clinging to tunnel steps, ladder rungs and cracks in the walls. Like a sea-predator hiding amid seaweed, it watched the worker come closer, the pupils of its eyes slivered vertical moons, its jaws opening like a bridge, revealing nightmare teeth.

It needed food to replenish its strength for the task ahead.

It hissed and moved out of the waste.

With the blood of every new kill, it imbibed new life force and growing awareness of this age and this underworld place, and a sense of what must be done.

Some of these intruders it would devour, others it had more permanent plans for.

Now.
It struck.
