When was your 1st inkling that you’d be an author? Or an Egyptologist? Or… anything?

I became a fiction writer (after winning a nationwide school essay competition in my final year and later having my first short story published in the Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine, N.Y.).

I also fell in love with ancient Egypt very early.

Probably no surprise either.

Ancient Egypt is the perfect symbolic landscape for dreaming and writing.
