Here's another article, this one in the NY Times, on the secret scanning and 3D printing by a pair of artists of the iconic Nefertiti bust in the Nueus museum, Berlin.
This story, added to the even bigger one about the investigation to find Nefertiti's resting place behind a wall in Tutankhamun's tomb, suggests a convergence in the zeitgeist for this enigmatic queen.
