Asked my "favourite among my own Egypt archaeology and mythology thrillers? Which would I recommend?"

It's a question writers will often try to tap dance around, but it deserves an honest answer for a reader. I'd probably say THE SMITING TEXTS. the first in the 10 book series featuring the independent Egyptologist Anson Hunter. Maybe because he's an outlier, a renegade theorist and investigator who finds himself outside the tent of mainstream Egyptology.
