Fiction writers should NOT be afraid of A.I. ChatGPT's impressive writing skills. Readers haven't turned into robots. Yet. (At least not until The Singularity)

Intelligence of the human kind tells us that writing and reading are the most deeply personal activities the mind can indulge in. And that means it is the least amenable to the artificial and the mechanistic.
Yes, A.I. is an exciting tool for thought and even creativity.
But, as the saying goes, a great book (or e-book!) is the life-blood of a master spirit.
And readers are sensitive enough to feel a soul behind the words they read.
Humanity and personally evaluated experience trumps all.
