AREN'T WE ALL ON AN ARCHAEOLOGY DIG FOR MYSTERY?
We try to find meaning in our lives.
But maybe the elusive thing that we need to find is not answers, but mystery.
As Einstein said:
‘The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and science. He to whom the emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand wrapped in awe, is as good as dead; his eyes are closed.’
I suspect the saints who devoted their lives to finding God and the ultimate answer, actually found ultimate mystery.
(Which I suspect He is, and must be, which perhaps explains why science will never find Him because science is looking for answers.)
