The genius IMHOTEP. Egypt's 'ancient alien'?

Science fiction? Let me say from the outset, I have not defected to the 'Ancient Aliens' camp. However, there is something alien-looking about Imhotep invariably shown as a little seated figure with an elongated head inside a skullcap.
Imhotep - history’s first recorded genius - must have seemed like a being who had dropped out of the sky to early generations. His luminous intelligence would have appeared utterly alien. He was the father of medicine, the first great architect, who invented buildings in stone, including the archetypal step pyramid. He was deified and also revered by later Greeks and Romans. Imhotep governed as Vizier over Egypt and held high priestly office. Imhotep, not surprisingly, was strongly linked with Thoth, Egypt’s ibis-headed god of wisdom and magical power.
His father was the mysterious creator god of the darkness, Ptah.
His mother was the sky goddess Nut of the starry night... more extra-terrestrial implications? .
The mysterious figure of Imhotep plays a part in my novel “EGYPT EYES” in the Anson Hunter archaeological thriller series:
